On June 22, the Millennium Dancesport Championships were held in St. Petersburg, Florida. Fred Astaire Professional Wisconsin Couples won top honors at this year's event. Congratulations to the following American Open Rhythm Finalists:
Ricky Bentzen and Albina Habrle - 4th place
Hayk Arshakian and Sarah Haworth - 6th place
On June 30, at the Manhattan Dancesport Championships in New York City, another Fred Astaire couple took the competition by storm. Congratulations to Ken Hansen and Christina Penatello for placing 3rd in American Rhythm.
